Software Developer & Game Designer; I aspire to create fun, simple experiences and believe in adaptability and experimentation.
Whether it's programming, designing, composing, rendering, I love to create. A new project is always on the horizon for me, and if I haven't spent a night this week working on a new program, game, or song, I'm doing it wrong.
I suppose you can consider composing my main hobby, since it really takes a good chunk of my free time, but I find that the satisfaction of completing a song always trumps the time and effort going in. It also doesn't hurt that finding the groove you've been looking for in a song makes the process more and more enjoyable each time.
When I'm not programming or composing I have a talent for getting lost in many different games. Strategy, shooter, puzzle, music ... the list goes on; I find that there are many amazing experiences to be seen if I have the patience to look for them. Of course this comes with the downside of having an ever increasing backlog of games to play, but the more the merrier I say!
When I'm not engrosed by a game, or any other great idea I decided I need to explore, I find that I can sit down and enjoy some photography. With a studio set up and ready, I find it relaxing to sit back and just take some pictures of anything interesting. Playing with lighting and angles, it's rewarding to look back through the shoot and discovered what worked and what didn't. In the end, though, I always discover that there's still more work to be done to take better shots.
